But if he prioritizes winning, he may need to take a slight reduction. If he looks for a big payday, he could almost certainly get it. It’s hard to judge how Miller will approach what could be the swansong of his career. The question would then become Miller might take less to remain in Los Angeles or whether he would be looking for a potential final big payday. Williams is likely to be viewed as one of the premier defensive backs and had a first-round tender last year. There’s a chance Williams could be back, but it’s a slim one. Additionally, he’s failed to get an interception for the first time this season. This season saw him allow 4 touchdowns, having allowed just 3 in the previous two years combined. Williams’ performances have suffered a little this season, with his passer rating allowed at a career-high of 95.8. With Jalen Ramsey already under contract for a large amount, it seems likely Darious Williams will at least test the free-agent market.

They will hope it will be easy to return Troy Reeder, who is a restricted free agent, but they may have to make tough decisions on the other three. They have two really high-profile free agents, with two others that are considered intriguing. The defensive side of the ball has some really interesting names for the Rams in terms of free agents. However, if he lands back with them on a reasonable deal, they would almost certainly not say not to that continuity. Corbett’s performances have not been good enough that they would prioritize him. Based on their performances last year, Allen would likely be the one they target top return.

If Whitworth returns, then the Rams have the luxury to decide how to approach these two. Changing two or three parts of that offensive line could have a huge impact, and they would ideally want to avoid that. If Andrew Whitworth retires, they may decide to chase both Corbett and Allen as potential returners. It will be interesting to see how the Rams approach their offensive line. He has very much “rehabilitated” that image and should be in demand as a free agent this offseason. The Rams have three players on their offense who could be viewed as key free agents. Of those, six players have played more than 50% of the Rams snaps this season, three on offense and three on defense. Of those, five are restricted free agents, with backup QB John Wolford an exclusive rights free agent. The Rams have 20 players set to become free agents this offseason.
